Hi everyone,
My boyfriend and I brought home Milo the 1 year old golden doodle yesterday! He is a silly, happy pup and we could not be more excited to have him home. Unfortunately Milo was bought from a puppy store in Columbia, Maryland (probably a puppy mill pup) and was left caged for most of his life. When brought to the shelter, his back patellas were ruptured and his right one was beyond repair. He had to have his right leg amputated, and his left knee was extensively repaired. Our pup is happy and young, however he does not have much as far as back leg muscles or abdominal muscles. We are about POD20 now, he walks around the block, but tires easily. He cannot go up and down stairs. I was wondering if anyone in this group has seen this before and could give us some tips and outlook?
Thank you!
Lindsey, Karl, and Milo
